Graphic Designer Great American Publishing Married to Michael VanVoorhis with two daughters. Jordan, graduated from Carson High School in 2014 and attends Campbell Unversity, and step-daughter Andrea, which lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
After graduating from East Rowan High School, she continued her education at Central Piedmont Community College with an Associate Degree in Commercial Art / Advertising. Employed nine years by Sam Bass, the official artist of Charlotte Motor Speedway, where she worked along side such greats as Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace and Jeff Gordon to design their NASCAR race cars, transporters and uniforms. Country music crossed over into the NASCAR industry and gave her the opportunity to design team graphics for Brooks & Dunn, and Mark Collie for special charity events. Sam Bass Illustration & Design, Inc. designed anything from logos up to collectible poster and print designs. In 2000, Sandra started her own gift basket company as she continued to work as freelance graphic artist for three years. Then, after working part time for a while with a design firm in Salisbury, she sold her company and took a full time position for five more years. The design firm specialized in print, web and event management. On top of her regular design tasks, she was in charge of mass printing on a Biz-hub and several large format printers. She also attended corporate events to help with stage composition and design elements. In February of 2008, she brought many years of experience to Great American Publishing where we produce two monthly, one bi-monthly and one quarterly publications.
